STOPBULLY.COM’S MEMBERSHIP APPRECIATION FULL GIVEAWAY CONTEST RULES
StopBully.com’s Membership Appreciation Giveaway (the “Contest”) is being organized and held by StopBully.com (StopBully). StopBully members have a chance to win a motorcycle, or quad
1. Contest Period
There are 4 contests held on a yearly cycle as shown below:
“1st Contest Period” begins (Boxing Day) on December 26 at 12:00 AM Mountain Time (“MT”) and closes on (St. Patrick’s Day) on March 17 at 11:59 PM MT.
“2nd Contest Period” begins March 18 at 12:00 AM Mountain Time (“MT”) and closes on Father’s Day at 12:00 AM MT.
“3rd Contest Period” begins Father’s Day at 12:01 AM Mountain Time (“MT”) and closes on the Annual Bully Awareness Ride weekend (third Sunday of August) at 1:00 PM MT.
“4th Contest Period” begins third Sunday of August at 1:01 PM Mountain Time (“MT”) and closes on Christmas Day at 11:59 PM MT.
2. Eligibility
This contest is open to all persons who live in Canada (excluding Quebec) or USA; are at least eighteen (18) years old; and have a current active membership with StopBully during the contest period (each a “Contestant”). Employees, officers, and contractors, of StopBully and its wholly owned subsidiaries and the immediate family members and members of the same household of such persons cannot be eligible for any prizes (as defined below).
3. How To Enter
To register for this contest, each contestant must ensure they have an active, current membership (the “Membership”).
Basic Membership Entries
Upon purchasing a $20 basic membership, contestants will be entered into the current contest period based on the date of their basic membership donation. They are only eligible for one draw with the basic membership. If they wish to upgrade their basic membership to a silver membership they can do so within 30 days of their original purchase. They are welcome to purchase a membership for other members of their family provided they meet the membership requirements. Memberships are non-refundable.
To be valid for a giveaway, basic members must be:
- Entered into the contest for a value of $20.00 or more;
- They may purchase memberships for friends or family;
- With a purchase date that falls within the contest period;
- The contestant is not employed, contracted by StopBully;
- The contestant name, email and phone number must be visible on the submitted form;
- Winners must answer a skill-testing question;
A basic member may donate to the next giveaway period during the next giveaway period.
Silver Membership Entries
Upon the purchase of $100 silver membership, contestants will be entered into the current and three consecutive contest periods twice based on the date of their silver membership purchase. They are welcome to purchase a membership for friends or family provided they meet the membership requirements. Memberships are non-refundable.
To be valid for a giveaway, silver members must be:
- Entered into four contests twice with the purchase of a silver membership;
- For a value of $100.00 or more;
- They may purchase memberships for friends or family;
- With a purchase date that falls within four consecutive contest periods;
- The contestant is not employed, contracted by StopBully;
- The contestant name, email and phone number must be visible on the submitted form
No Purchase Entry
Contestants may submit a five hundred (500) or more word essay detailing how Bullying Awareness is important in their community or how bullying has affected them in their lives. The contestant who submits this essay will receive one (1) membership and one entry into the current contest period. Along with the essay, the contestant must submit their full name, mailing address, email address and phone number. Essays must be submitted by post at the cost of the contestant to: StopBully.com 113, 127 Kingsview Rd SE, Airdrie, AB T4A 0A8 Attention: Membership Appreciation Giveaway contestants who submit an essay into the contest can only receive a maximum of one (1) contest entry per membership year. Contestants are advised not to submit an essay if they potentially obtain entries by other means.
Contestant Responsible for Ensuring Proper Entries Are Submitted
Contestant is solely responsible for checking that the contact information on the form is accurate before it is submitted. They are also responsible for making sure their email is not blocking their receipts in spam filters as well as monitoring their email account to ensure their entries have been entered properly. StopBully will not be responsible for, or accept any liability resulting from entries that are inaccurate for any reason to StopBully whether by, but not limited to human error, faulty or defective internet access, cellular signal, data signal, computers, smart phones, digital handheld devices or other computer devices. Entries are non-transferable, that is one contestant cannot give their entry to another contestant. However, once the prize is received the contest winner is free to do as they wish with the prize.
4. Prizes and Selecting Prize-Winners
There are four contest periods each with one giveaway to be awarded. Contest prizes – MAY include one of the following:
- An Indian Scout 60 motorcycle with a retail value of $10,000.00 – $12,000.00
- A Kawasaki Vulcan 900 motorcycle with a retail value of $10,000.00
- A CF Moto 500 two up quad with a retail value of $10,000.00
- A Can-Am Ryker with a retail value of $10,000.00 – $12,000.00
- Certified used vehicles of similar value depending on availability
The prize-winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries on St Patrick’s Day, Fathers Day and Annual Bully Awareness Ride Day and Boxing Day each year while the contests are running.
5. Conditions on Prizes
Contest Prizes are not redeemable for cash. A skill-testing question must be answered upon transfer. The prize will be available for pick up within 30 days of being notified of winning. If delivery is required, the winner may be responsible for costs associated and delivery time may be long depend on availability of staff.
6. Prize Draws
All draws for prizes in this contest will occur at the StopBully Head Office building in Calgary, Alberta at approximately 8:00 pm MT following the close of the contest period. All entries have an equal chance of winning the prize. The chances of winning are determined by how many eligible entries are entered into the contest.
7. Notifications and Qualification of Selected Entrants
StopBully will contact the prize-winner by phone or other available means after the draw. If for any reason it is not possible within seven (7) business days to contact a prize-winner despite customary efforts, StopBully reserves the right to disqualify that entry and select another entry by random draw and declare the holder of that entry as the winner of that particular prize. Each prize-winner must sign a Contest Prize Acknowledgement and Release form and successfully answer a skill-testing question before the prize will be awarded to them.
8. General Terms and Conditions
StopBully reserves the right to withhold the prize or disqualify a prize-winner’s entry in the event that a prize-winner fails or refuses to comply with these contest rules. Each prize-winner, as a condition to receiving the prize, consents to StopBully publishing their name and image in all forms and media, and in all manners including advertising, trade, display, editorial, art, advertisements, video production, exhibitions, Twitter, Facebook and other website content. In giving this consent, the contestant releases StopBully, its employees and directors from liability for any violation of any personal or proprietary right or entitlement the prize winner may have in connection with such reproduction, publication, use and distribution of their name and picture. If, for any reason and in the opinion of StopBully, in its sole discretion, the contest is not capable of running as planned, there are additional conditions, limitations or restrictions regarding this contest or any prize discovered during the contest period, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes beyond its control, StopBully reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest including any method of entry. StopBully will not be responsible for telephone, cellular phone, technical, network, online, electronic, computer hardware or software failures of any kind, misdirected, stolen, incomplete, garbled or delayed internet/email computer transmissions on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, as well as any damage to contestant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest. StopBully will not be responsible for, or accept any liability resulting from entries that are delayed, lost, stolen or misdirected for any reason during their delivery to StopBully whether by, but not limited to faulty or defective internet access, cellular phone network or other on-line medium.

These contest rules shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta.
10. Privacy
Information is collected in accordance with the StopBully Privacy Policy. Any personal information obtained in the course of running this contest will be used for administration and for marketing purposes for this contest.
